About Uni2Work
Where It
Started
Uni2Work was created from lived experience
Like many international students and new migrants, we came to Australia with strong qualifications, big ambitions, and a genuine desire to work in the field we studied.
We worked hard at university, balanced part-time jobs, and applied for internships and graduate roles, sending hundreds of applications and receiving the same response again and again: “We have carefully reviewed your application, but unfortunately you have not been successful this time.”
There was no feedback, no explanation, and no clarity on what was missing.
What We Learned the Hard Way
The Knowledge You Don’t Learn at University
What made the process harder was not rejection itself, but the silence. We wanted someone from inside the industry to explain why we were being rejected and how we could fix our mistakes before applying again. That guidance never came.
Eventually, through persistence, mentorship, self-reflection, and many uncomfortable learning moments, we broke into the industry.
Once inside, everything became clear the unspoken expectations, the practical skills employers look for, how experience should be presented, and the nuances that are never taught at university or found in books.
Why Uni2Work Exists
Bridging the Gap Between Study and Work in Australia
Uni2Work exists so others don’t have to struggle blindly the way we did. Today, as professionals working inside Australian industries, we’ve chosen to share what we’ve learned from real experience not theory.
We bridge the gap between university and work by teaching practical skills, real processes, real documents, and the communication employers expect.
We teach from the perspective of someone who has been on the outside looking in, because we understand the confusion, frustration, and self-doubt. At Uni2Work, we don’t teach theory we teach what actually works.
